Indoors, of course, evaporative cooler, refrigerated air, ceiling fans, and any kind of oscillating fans. Outside, make sure your kitty has plenty of shade to lounge around in. Lastly, ALWAYS make sure you kitty has access to plenty of water which will help keep him/her cool.

Cats are pretty good at regulating their temperature. They find warm spots if they're cold and cool ones if it's warm out. So your cat will probably let you know. Some cats like to sit in front of a fan or air conditioner. (Some are too finicky about their fur to let it get mussed up like that!) Yours may suddenly like the basement, if there's a basement to your house. Or an out of the way closet where the floor is cooler. Make sure you leave out plenty of water and don't ever lock him up in a hot room that has no ventilation (or in a car!).

Is this an indoor cat? Monitor the temperature of the room (i.e. don't leave him in a closed-up hot room). Make sure that the cat has plenty of clean drinking water. Also, brush your cat at least once daily to remove the loose fur that is being shed.

Provide plenty of fresh water to drink, and access to shady places in the house. If possible, access to a basement (below grade) will be 10-15 degrees cooler than the upper floors.

Cats should live indoors. Outside cats can get hurt and they are also killers. They often kill song birds and other animals. It is cruel to both the cat and the outside world to let it outside.

Why do you think he needs to be cool? if he feels so he will look for a tile where to sit and stay cool, but you dont really have to do anything they actually look for warm places year round like clean laundry, so dont worry about it. He knwos where to go!

Put it in the vegetable crisper in the refrigerator for 3-5 minutes every 4-5 hours.

You can get its hair cut at a grooming place. (Petland will do this). I do it with my cat and she loves it. she also does not overheat during the summer, and it grows back before it gets cold again.
