few options, 1. write him an email and leave my number 2. go to this guy and ask him in person 3.any better option?
personally i think ask him in person is better... usually a guy won't refuse a girl in person...but if by email he might just ignore

It depends how confident you are...and how are your positions/situations...of course a casual invitation is perfectly alright.

OK, 1st off, do it in person.
2nd, don't call it a date. Instead, work into the conversation something like "hey, wanna grab a bite friday?" or "I'm thinking of going to (Fill in blank), would you want to go?" This way your not putting some expectaions on your outing.

Hmm.. I think in person. They might think you're not serious enough when you ask them out by the internet or on the phone... Hope that helps.

i say go up to him in person. but make sure no one is around. just in case he embarasses you about it. if other people were around then he might make you feel dumb about it. good luck in everything.
