I lived in Germany as a child and thought it very odd how the Germans didn't think twice about going completely starkers in sauna and swiimming pools but its perhaps too generalistic to say that German people are less inhibited than British.
p.s I have very fond memories of the country, culture and people.

I am from the UK and have lived and worked in Germany in the past. There are a number of differences, particularly in their culture:
German people, on the whole, are friendly and helpful (as long as you show that you are meeting them half way in speaking their language when visiting their country). In the UK we are more reserved and are impatient with everyone.
Germans have more respect for qualified professionals (ie Doctors, Mechanical Engineers etc). In the UK, anyone with a spanner in their back pocket is called an Engineer!
Just compare the average streets! I very rarely have seen litter thrown onto the streets in Germany which also says a lot for the differences in culture. In the UK we do not respect the environment as a whole.
I suppose I could go on and on but I'm sure you get the gist.

There is no difference, really. There is good and bad wherever you go. You guys did a brilliant World Cup, and we are going to do a fantastic Olympics.
Got to agree with the next two answers as well.

Hallo mein Freund.
Other than language, there is no difference between the Germans and the British.
