This little eight-year-old loathes me. Seriously. She is soo rude and disruptive and rebellious. She always flopps down and says, "I'm bored" when I come in the room. But for everyone else she's an angel! What is going on here? I don't think I gave her a reason to hate me, either.

If your the only one she is rude to maybe take a look at how shes being rude. My 8 year old is always rude to my cousin and come to find when we asked her why she said it was because he was her favorite . Go figure lol

What is your relationship to the little girl? Some kids do that. My daughter is 8 and she is the only child, so I hear "I'm bored alllllll of the time" but I will play with her sometimes, but as a single parent I don't have alot of extra time.

Sounds to me like a phase for that age, My daughter will act obnoxious to certain people, and my fiances niece is like that to me, I feel like smacking her sometimes lol but I would never do that of course.... probablly just a phase try ignoring the kid that will really steam them up and maybe they're attitude will change?

Are you creating boundaries for her? Do you discipline her when she misbehaves? Do you follow through on your word with her? Are you an example for her?

why are you so worried about an 8 yr old? she's 8! so she is bored?! why don't you ask her? she can communicate at that age, you know.
