Some signs could be:
1. Change in sexual habits with you.
2. Changes on his phone bill. (new number called too often)
3. Redial on home phone is not working or changed to a single digit.
4. The smell of another woman on him, or her perfume. (don't confuse this with perfumes from relatives or friends)
5. His lack of trust for you. If he's cheating he will distrust you too. (true love is all trusting)
6. Sore genitals, or possible S.T.D.'s (God forbid)
7. No reasonable explanation for his whereabouts.
8. Hiding laundry.
9. Showering as soon as he gets home. (unless he always did that)
10. Unusual gifts for you for no reason. (to appease his guilt)
11. Has trouble remembering things, or is loosing things.
12. Money unaccounted for.
13. Receipts for things that don't exists in your home.
14. He has trouble looking you in the eyes when he talks to you.
15. When he dose say he was somewhere, dose he look up and to the right before answering? (accessing lie central)
16. Change in normal routine or daily schedule if he normally keeps one.
If you can answer YES to 6 of these symptoms, HE'S A CHEATER!

He's probably cheating... just considering the fact that that's a little late to be going out without an explanation...
Signs of cheating, from my experience: He will act emotionally distant, cold, snappy, less passionate, secretive, and defensive for no reason. Like someone else up there said, go with your gut instinct... and if he IS cheating, dump him! There are plenty of fish in the sea - ones that will treat you right.

Do you really need any other proof. First ask him why is he out at those times and where is he going. usually if you think it is happening most of the time it is. If he has a job and those are the hours then you have your answer.

at least he is still coming back to you. he may not be cheating per se, probably just looking for a little fun, probably he's out with his friends racing or something. have you tried asking him? i know women have a very keen sense of intuition. if they feel their partner is doing something, they will know it.

You should follow him, if he's cheating he will just lie if you ask him where he's at. Just control your emotions and leave if you see him cheating. Don't get caught.
