Also, why do Christians travel thousand of miles to see a statue of marry crying blood or pay lots of money to purchase a piece of toast with Jesus's burnt image on it.Why? Because they're looking for proof.I'm not an Athiest just curious & if you're a true christian you won't ridicule me for asking this question instead you should treat me as God would have had his Son treat me.It is in this contex that I consider myself a Christian. I forgive.......and try to teach as best I can.

First of all, I would never pay to go see a stature of Mary crying blood or buy a piece of toast... I believe in the Bible because the world has no evidence to prove it isn't true. There are things that prove places and people from the Bible really existed. What point is there to life if there is no God and the Bible is a lie?

I get annoyed when I have to write a 10 page paper... who would write the entire Bible just so that thousands and thousands of people in the future would be tricked into thinking it was real? Just seems like a little too much work for a prank they'd never get to see...

Umm not all Christians will like to buy some toast with Yeshua on it......also I don't need proof. I believe in something illogical I understand that. It is more of a feeling and hope. Also umm a Christian or any other person can treat you online pretty much however they want. Christians have tempers too. That is clearly seen by the fundies. Also how do I know the Bible wasn't written by liars? Well I don't clear as crystal.

How do you know whether the bible was written by liars or not... if it was, it was by the most prilliant liars that ever lived. You could read every moment of every day for the rest of your life and never read all that has been written abou that one book. Every word in every language has been thouroghly examined, and the principles in the bible have dramaticly impacted how we think of ourselves, others, morals, psychology.

Some times we get so rapped up in the stories about this miricle happening or that, we forget the most amazing parts of the bible, and that's the philosophy on how to live. It's an amazing, virtually (and I think completely) perfect philosophy on how to exist simply in this world. You can see reflextions of the same beliefs all over the world in different religions and different views.

Does it matter whether Noah built the ark? In my mind it's true, but it doesn't really matter either way- the message is still the same, those true to God will survive- not through understanding but through faith, and those who don't will die. Yoga teaching very similar things.

I think the bible is true, because it has always been true to me before.

Science alone has stated that the Bible is true as it has multiple, and that's over 100, cases of history or other items mentioned that are true, later came true, etc.

What most don't understand about the Bible is how its written. Think back to that time, you live in a mud home, you carry your own water in from a stream, you herd your own goats for milk and meat, etc. There are no cars, no science, no technology, nothing at all that we see today.

Then God showed these men a vision of the future and told them write about it. They only had the mental images from that time frame to describe what they saw. So one has to read the bible and then interpret what they mean by what they say.

Like a passage in revelations speaks of a lions head and breaths fire....well if you look at a USA tank head on when it fires.....and you think simple terms like the writer knows.....you'd easily see a lions head that shoots fire.

Or when it mentions locus in swarms......look at a USA military helicopter.....then look at a locus.....so so similar.

Most would take it literally as locus, the insect...but its not. To many try to read the Bible with knowledge of today...and that will make it seem false, irrelevant, etc.

But once you understand how to read it, how to understand it all, the light bulbs just start clicking on in your head as you read it and piece it all together.

We know that the Bible came from God for one very simple reason: Jesus told us so. It is in His authority, as God of the universe, tha we are sure that the Bible is the Word of God. He confirmed the Old Testmament 's authority in His teachings, and He promised an authoritative New Testamaent through His disciples. The Son of God Himself assures us that the Bible is the Word of God

Okay, I won't ridicule you, but this question has been asked a million times on here and I will still ask this one, If I want to believe in God and mind my own business in doing so, then why does it bother you so much? Where is your proof that I'm wrong? Where is your proof that He doesn't exist? Why is it always the Christians duty to prove anything?

I know that God is because of what He has done inside of me. I don't have to go anywhere, including church to see proof of God. Everyday He is with me and it's something that is very difficult to prove. It's something you must experience for yourself. There comes a time in every person's life when they make that choice for themselves. It's easy to ridicule before you know what it is I'm talking about. Afterword's, it's impossible. I hope you find what you are looking for.

I do have to admit though that I'd like to go to Israel and walk the ground and see the places that Jesus walked. Not for proof, just because He was there.

Belief has very little to do with proof. People believe in many things, according to their religion, culture, their experiences, the way they were taught, and they have very little proof for what they believe in.

Btw, what would be a proof that would be acceptable to someone who denies the existance of God or His message?

And another btw: people who say there is no proof are also merely stating their BELIEF and have no proof for it... Can anyone prove that God DIDN'T talk to humans?!?

Actually the Bible is the only writing of any religion to be backed up by ancient writings that actually physically exist. Also archaeologists are finding proof of people who were in the Bible. Not one other religion that has ever exists has such evidence.

You should read the book The Case for Faith. The author was an atheist investigative reporter, looking to disprove God, but after thoroughly investigating the evidence became a believer.
If you really want some of your questions answered try this book.
