You probably wouldn't die, but there's a good chance you'd have liver problems. Nyquil contains acetominophen, which is the same thing as Tylenol; even a small overdose of Tylenol can cause liver problems. A normal dose is generally 1000 mg; if you take half of a 16 oz bottle, that's 8 ounces, which is about 200 ml. A teaspoon of Tylenol is the same as 15 ml, and that contains 500 mg of acetominophen; 200 / 15 = 13.3 doses for the half bottle, which means that it contains 13.3 x 500 mg of acetominophen, or about 6 1/2 times the usual extra strength dose. You'd probably end up on a liver transplant list IF you got lucky.

You won't die with a half of bottle of Nyquil by itself (all this would do would be to put you out of comission for a while or bare minimum it would give you a small buzz as it contains alcohol), however, if you drink the half bottle and are driniking other medication (prescribed or over the counter), especially if it contains Acetaminophen, then it could turn dangerous (I believe Advil contains this and maybe Tylenol depending on the variety that you choose).

No I had a friend who drank almost a whole bottle once, he slogged around for an hour or so and then passed out all day. Other than that he was fine. Could have turned out bad but the chances of a serious health problem are fairly slight. There is not enough acetaminophen to kill you, unless you're like 13. Save up for a bottle of vodka instead or just take the recommended dose if you are sick.

One "serving" of Nyquil contains 500mg of acetaminophen (aka Tylenol). 2 tablespoons is 1 oz, and depending on how big the bottle of Nyquil, I'm going to assume it's the common 10 oz size. You will have consumed 500*5 = 2500 mg from the bottle alone. After we account for the 2 soft gel caplets, that will be 325mg * 2 = 750mg The total acetaminophen consumption will have been 3250 mg of Tylenol. Your absolute daily limit before you will suffer from liver damage is 4000mg if i remember correctly, which depends on your body mass and type. Just follow directions on the back; acute liver failure is deadly. Not worth it for the alcohol content, and/or it definitely won't make you get better, faster.

Possibly, the Acetaminophen concentration is 500 mg/15 mL (15cc). The bottle contains nearly 300 mL. That equals 5000 mg of Acetaminophen. 10 times the reccommended adult dose. This could result in Acetaminophen toxicity for which there is no cure. One usually dies from liver failure.

If you're of drinking age I just say get a good bottle of whiskey or rum and catch a good buzz that way. Not to be a "party pooper" but if you are not of drinking age and of high school age as i suspect then why do you feel the need to be in an "altered state" from over the counter cold medication?

I am not sure if you would die from this, but you may have a very big problem from the amount of Tylenol in Nyquil, as 14 grams (14,000 milligrams) of acetaminophen WILL kill you.

Plus, you may have a very big problem.

No, but between the alcohol and pain relievers in it, you would wake up with a horrible hangover. You will find yourself drunk, high, and your heart will be racing. If you have heart problems, then it would not be a good thing to do.

I don't think you would die - but it would either make you sick to your stomach and/or you would sleep alot - as it has a fair amount of alcohol in it.
