There's koolaid lemonade, but that has a lot of sugar. The only non-koolaid way that I know is what my friends would do at luncheons when they were bored with the speaker. We had ice water, lemon slices and sugar packets at the table, so they would squeeze the lemons into the water and add sugar to taste. It was actually rather good, although slightly labor intensive.

The classic lemonade is 7 parts water, 1 part sugar and 1 part lemon juice. If you want less sugar - start with half that amount - taste it - and add more until you're happy with it.

You can do it like they do at fairs ... lots of ice, some lemon juice, and some water. NO sugar. But, if you want some sweet, add some artificial sweetener. Or, add sugar 1 teaspoon at a time until you hit the right combination.

You need some sweetener in lemonade so you could try a good sugar substitute ie. Splenda or stevia. Just don't use too much!

substitute honey instead.
There is a substitution list for sugar which can be googled. You can also combine lemons with other åcidic and nonacidic fruits for sweetness, but honey would be your best bet.

Use organic Grade B maple syrup. This is both healthy and natural ~ no preservatives added.
