There are a few "hot", fresh out of high school girls at work. My boyfriend likes to talk to everyone, but especially to the "hot" ones. I try to ignore this. However, yesterday, he went into the office and got one piece of Valentine, chocolate heart candy. The team leader told him to get one for me. Well, he ended up giving it to the "hot" girl. Several people noticed that he gave her the candy meant for me. This info got back to the team leader. She chewed him out and told him that his doing that was wrong. Eventually, the news got back to me. I really didn't know how to react. I doubt that he would be putting "feelers" out to this girl (she is married). He says that it isn't what it seems. Anyway, we argued about it and now he won't call. Last week, he wasn't in our usual break spot. He was in a different one with another girl. I wasted my break looking for him. Often, he goes out of his way to seek their attention. But they are uninterested in him. How do I need to react?

Your boyfriend will continue and this will always be a problem!

I'm so shocked that he has the nerve to do this infront of you!
I would be livered!

You need to be one step ahead, and pretend it's not bothering you! Soetimes it appears that he doesn't care as he's doing it so close to you.

Pretend you didn't see, show more professionalism to your co-workers, before you know it, he'll be seeking the attention from you as you're getting all the "stars" for your great work.

However, you need to confront him tonight and tell him how it is!
The fact that everyone tells you the ins and outs of the workplace social welfare, and how it's affecting your relationship.
Tell him to stop, it's not right, not only does he look like a dill for flirting, but it's straining your relationship and removing all the trust you have for him... ask him how he would feel if you behaved the way he does at your work!

I feel for you. I also work in a small office with a lot of unprofessional people. What this woman did was wrong. She was fueled by her own jealousy that she messed up something for other employees. I don't feel you should have to put up with this. The thing now is, how do we handle this? I think you need to speak with your boss again regarding those vacation days. Maybe her motive was to get the days taken back or she could have just been mad because she wanted that same week as you said. In any event, you have to work on getting that week back. Explain your plight to the boss. If you have to get information from other work related sites, unions, whatever, get information that shows you are due and earned this 3rd week of vacation. As an added compromise, let the boss know that if it coincides with someone else's vacation time, you are willing to use the vacation dates the week after. Do what you can to get the time back then worry about dealing with this co-worker later. Your main goal should be getting your 3rd vacation time back!

React by telling him that his behavior is inappropriate, that he is in a relationship with you and as such, needs to act like it. Tell him that it bothers and hurts you to find him with these other girls everytime you turn around, while you're spending your break trying to find him. And tell him that, if he cannot value your relationship and your feelings, then he cannot be with you.

You don't deserve this, what he's doing to you is wrong. Move on babe, it may hurt you at first, but wouldn't you rather hurt a little while & find someone to respect you, then hurt a long time and remain with someone that disrespects you?
