A soon to be bride found out her soon to be husband was cheating. She called off the wedding and notified her guests with a humerous card. I remember reading about this in a magazine. Any one have any leads?

I read it a while ago......
"Met the wrong guy. Gave him the wrong finger." And she said an out-of-country uncle who never even did anything to acknowledge the guy/engagement wrote her a long letter about how proud of her he was for standing up for herself when others would have just gone through with it.

Don't know if it's the same one your talking about, but I always found that line funny!

I don't really think it is deserving of a humorous card. Some people may see it as uncouth. I personally wouldn't mind, but say if someone sent my grandparents (or someone like them) a card like that, they would be less than impressed. Of course you should let them know and if it would be easier ask a trusted and close family member or friend to help you with this. I am very sorry to hear this. Good luck in the future and be strong!

"A friend's website has a link to (joke) e-cards for sad occasions, and it reminded me of this (sincere) card I saw at Papyrus the other day. There was a frog wearing a crown on the cover, and underneath the picture it said,

Sorry to hear your frog...
(open card)
...turned out to be a frog. (with sketch of same frog.)

It's a break-up card!
A broken engagement card!
A divorce card!

And it could easily be made into a widow card by changing the inside to read:
...got squished. (with sketch of steamroller.)"
