Depends on where you live.
Usually where the snow flies, they hire in the spring just before the course opens for the season. The work doesn't require a lot of skill. They usually hire more people than they need and after a while the course Superintendant weeds out the slackers.
It will mean getting to work before sunrise and working ALL the weekends.
Where the course is open all year you just have to keep checking. Show up EARLY in the morning, no-shows are not tolerated and vacancies can come open any day. If the Super is short-handed he'll hire the first warm body that walks in the door.
