It's a simple enough question. If the Pro-lifers are so Pro-life where is the outrage over the dead innocent children in Iraq? How many of you have written your congress person or Senator to tell them the deaths of those innocents must stop? What about the children being killed in Isreal, Palastine and Darfur? Where are the masses in the street rallying against it all?

dog sneeze,
No, what i'm getting at is this. If life is so precious and sacred, should there not be the same kind of concern about the living as with the unborn?

lsuballs,
So we went to Iraq for ......................?
Saddam didn't start killing his people at 9-11, he had been doing it for years, all through the Clinton Admin.
9-11, nothing to do with Saddam, both reports done by this administration show that; WMDs, nada, zip; ties to Al Queda, nope
Since you know nothing about my back ground you wouldn't know if I'm a Vet or not would you? Did you bother to read the whole question or did you stop at your knee jerk reaction to Iraq?

This is great, honest (hopefully) emotion. Not that I agree with some of you.
My basic problem with the Pro-life lobby is that what they want to do is take away a womans right to make her own decisions about whether she will or will not carry a baby to term.
For those of you who wouldn't have an abortion, that's fine, but for millions of women having the child may not be an option they want. I'm not talking about rape victims, or even victims of incest, I'm talking about women who made the choice not to have children when they got an IUD or a cervical cap and still got pregnant. Why should a woman who didn't want to get pregnant have to carry a child because you think she should?
There are far more important things in the world to worry about than what someone does with their own body.

This is just MHO but what you're talking about is war and you expect civilian and military causalties in war...so what is there to protest (from their side of things)?????? But their usual protests consist of protesting against abortions clinics, which in their view are allowing women to voluntariliy "kill their babies".
So they can justify not protesting the causualities of war because it's government condoned killing but leagiized abortion is a different issue entirely to them (which I find hard to justify but they seem to have now problems).

My daughter was asked to have sex by a fellow student in kindergarten. Add that plus the soft porn on tv ... kids are introduced to sexual perversity at a very young age. Are you ok with that? But valuing life should have a rating for age appropriateness I guess, huh. And I suppose the government should decide what is appropriate for kids rather than their parents? Your man 0bama mirrors your values. If you think that being with your parents while they rally for life is immoral ... then I would say you are feeding your self enough garbage to have a ton of abortions yourself. That's all this is, right? Just getting the feedback you need so you can happily do the deed when you your fetus is an inconvenient parasite? Pro abortioners also pass on their beliefs to their children. Make no mistake. Pro lifers just happen to uphold the value that you despise.

I fully agree with you and I was at the Lebanon/Palistine Anti war rally in Washington in April! But I admit with the government spying and secret lists, I was and still am scared. People in the US can no longer speak out against injustice or you end up on a domestic terrorist list.
I wish everyone thought the way you think. These wars are crimes against humanity and I only hope God willing, in time the leaders that allow these wars to happen are tried just as Hitler was for what they have done. There is a big difference between protecting ones country and attacking another country or people because you don't like the choices they make. But in the end they will have to face their creator.

Where were ..or should I say ARE..all the non religious pro-life people out protesting the deaths of innocent children all over the world dying of the filthy drugs being peddled everywhere? How many of you are writing to your governments telling them this must stop? YOU ARE WHERE WE ALL ARE..DOING SOMETHING AT LEAST..I HOPE!!!!!!! Do not put us on any pedestal..the only difference between the religious and non religious people is that we realize how rotten we are..and we accept the Saviour who says He will clean us up. Stop putting yourselves on some pedestal ..surely you must see you are no different...you are flesh and bone and have feelings and beliefs in things and passions for things just like we do....instead of worrying where we are and what we are doing..worry about yourselves and what you are doing..while you focus on others you will trip over your own feet and get nowhere!!

What about all the children that are aborted each day all over the world. What about the exploited children that are living death in the sex trades, how many children are being destroyed by alcohol, drugs, and other things - where is the out rage in this? Where is the horror in this in supposedly a free country? We complain about the children of Irag and other nations yet destroy, abuse kill and put into slavery children in the US?

It's a combination of many things that have been the same throughout history. Here are a few of my general thoughts:
It is very difficult for people to care about things that they never see. This is why the "pro-life" movement shows disturbing images of abortions much more often than they engage in intellectual debate. Understanding reasons for something being wrong is less shocking, to most people, than seeing the product of something that's wrong.
Religion makes people feel more secure about themselves, in believing that everything is part of a master plan that they cannot understand. It causes people to be bothered only by things that they can control, and to ignore things that they believe they have no control over. This is why "family values" groups care more about things like TV and radio censorship than preventing massive problems like child abuse.

My Senator hasn't killed any children in Iraq or anywhere else. Islamic terrorists have on a daily basis. Muslims should be protesting like they did when Muhammad was drawn as a cartoon or when The Pope quoted something that was hundreds of years old. Where are those peaceful, moderate Muslims?
May God Bless you.

Dead children in every country is evil.
People hate Americans. We go to help, then they curse us.
My niece was in Iraq for 18 months. The children love the Americans. She loves the children over there.
We can't stop the madness, without killing the Evil leaders.

You obviously misunderstand what it means to be "pro-life" in America. It means you are pro-BIRTH, because once the fetus you "save" is born, you're permitted to walk away, ignore its needs, and call your local right-wing hate-radio station and complain about "unwed welfare mothers using up my tax money." To be pro-life in the good 'ol USA is to care only about the sex lives of people you've never met. If you think for a minute the pro-lifers in this country care anything about the lives that are already here, or especially about the lives of kids in other countries, you're sadly mistaken. The fact they elect presidents who cut funds for programs that feed hungry children should tell you all you need to know. Also, ask a pro-lifer what they think of capital punishment.

Being non-Christian and foreign, they simply don't count.
Plus, they are already born. If you control a fetus before it is born, however, you have control over the mother. The ultimate agenda behind the anti-choice movement is to control a woman and her reproductive rights. Also, by outlawing abortion because of religious beliefs, Christians are able to further infect our laws with their personal beliefs, giving them greater political strength (read: money).
