Thanks for awarding the dubious distinction of world-correctional centre to my country along with Congo (lol).

However, if we look at it in this way that currently Bangladesh is contributing one of the highest numbers of its troops in the UN Peace Keeping forces operating in various countries in the world.

Therefore, if the UN requests Bangladesh to look into the possibilities of any particular type of 'offenders' to be taken care of at our soil then it may definitely bring job opportunity and new line of business too.

Somebody above said that “Now, if we were to send them to some country in Africa or some other third world place, they would provide less civilized care to the inmates, and yes that would be a lot cheaper.” I beg your pardon sir. The whole thing would come in a package where the US government would give proper training to the local authorities here so that we do not infringe or violate on the rights of the US prisoners. Moreover, non-US prisoners may be shifted first on trial basis to avoid any litigation that entails with US citizen’s maltreatment etc.

Give it a serious thought and ask your government to initiate the dialogue with our government, if they like. One can find opportunities in what other consider a problem!!

You voted for the death penalty didn't you? I will try and be brief but, there's alot of info that needs to be brought to the surface. For the most part People are born into an invironment that they have little or no choice when the parents are uneducated, on dope, or of the criminal element themselves. Yes, everyone has a choice but, some kids grow up in a gang ridden neighborhood and the only outside influence is School. My point being, If, when a person is convicted of a crime and sentenced to prison, then sent over to a country that has no laws protecting that persons God Given Right to Live and Human Rights we then become no better than the people we sent there. Are you saying that a person in the wrong place at the wrong time influenced by drugs because their parents were hooked has NO redeeming value? If we sent people to other Countries such as the ones you've stated Hell, we should just go ahead and sentence them to Death because sending them to countries that have no value or respect for human life would be the same.

I would not be any cheaper. You would raising the costs of housing the inmates. That is why we would not do it.

When the federal or state governments contract to a private company or county facility to house inmates, they have to pay that company or facility for each inmate. That is why there are companies out there that build prisons or jails and run them.

To keep an inmate alive, it costs a certain amount of money per day per inmate, as well as staffing the facility. That is how those companies make thier money. If we were to send out prisoners to somewhere else overseas, the governments would to foot the bill not only for shipping them there, but also housing them at whatever the company is charging per inmate. So by shipping them somehwere else, it would actually just cost us more in the long by adding the prices of trasportation.

Now, if we were to send them to some country in Africa or some other third world place, they would provide less civlized care to the inmates, and yes that would be a lot cheaper. But since our prisoners are citizens of the U.S. and have certain rights given to them, as well as humane rights, we would not be able to send them there because the standard of care at those other countries is not up to our standards. For us to build a facility there and give jobs to those people in those countries, and also be able to provide the right amount of standards to guarantee the rights given to these inmates, it would still cost us an arm and a leg and it would be just the same amount, if not more to house them elsewhere.

Besides, who cares about building more jobs for other countries when we need to focus on getting more here?

Sounds like you have been reading your history book about how England and France got rid of people - and how America, Australia, and South American got European settlers during the 1700's.

In these Enlightened Times, officials realize that it is important for inmates to maintain "family ties" so that when the inmate is released from prison they will have an incentive (want to be with their families) to avoid being sent back to prison. State and federal officials will try to put an inmate in a prison near their families to encourage visitations.

That what negatively impact the private prison industry (Wackenhut and Corrections Corporation of America) as well as the prison industrial complex. And they're building more all the time, mostly for non-violent pot smokers.

Prisons are a huge business your tax dollars support. Much more than welfare.

nicely, certainly relatively some human beings interior the international community who understand purely adequate to understand usa and its incorrect and corrupted government do in contrast to usa. a number of them even resent its government with a keenness. yet, for the regular public of human beings interior the areas you suggested, usa is a appropriate image or in step with risk a dream represented by using mass media. And who controls lots of the international media? The U.S.! They no longer purely control their own human beings regionally by using advertising, yet additionally create a faux image of themselves it relatively is acceptable and lovable. to illustrate, every time an significant adventure happens someplace interior the international community that divides 2 or greater communities of human beings, the yankee government advertises for the communities that proportion an identical political and occasional value pastimes with them, and advertises against the others with the intention to lead them to look childishly "undesirable" and "evil"! So, it relatively should not be a marvel while usa comes out consistently on the "righteous" area in each and every circumstances. it relatively is using fact they are very stable in manipulating human beings's factors of perspectives into believing they are on the "stable" area all the freakin' time. i understand this using fact I lived in basic terms approximately all my existence in Iran believing an identical factor till i individually have been given right here.

Yes, send them to Asia. At dinner time the inmates would ask, "Where is my food?" The guard responds, "I don't know, when does your family get here with it?"
