I just got home from a baby shower two hours ago. One game I'd never heard of went like this: you get a list that has pregnancy or baby things on the left side and you have to come up with the name of a candy that fits on the right side (perhaps you can find more online because I know there are more that I can remember.

Girls Name---Baby Ruth
Sex Life before kids---Good n Plenty
Triplets---Three Musketeers
Twins---Mike n Ike
Hospital Bill---100 Grand
What every kid needs a lot of---Kisses, Hugs
Umbilical Cord---rope licorice
Engorgement---Milky Way
Breasts after breastfeeding---Milk Duds
Conception---Skor
Sex Life after baby---Zero (kind of candy bar)
Stomach after giving birth---Jelly Belly

Another game that has 2 variations: when each guest gets to the party have them cut a length of rope (or yarn) off a role. Variation 1: whoevers is closest to the size of mom's belly wins. Variation 2: They have to talk about the mom for the length of time it takes them to wrap their length of string around their finger (this version is more of an icebreaker than an actual game).

Another game: have a tray with a lot of different baby items on it (bottle, diaper ointment, diaper, pacifier, wipes, changing pads, burp cloth, onesie, booties, hat, bottle brush, recieving blanket, book of lullabies). Leave the tray in the middle of the room for 1 minute for everyone to look at then have them write down as many items as they can remember. Then, give everything to the mom-to-be.

Try to keep the games to 3-4 and have nice prizes that will appeal to most everyone (candles, gift cards, picture frames).

if oyu have access to a printer and a smaller guest list here are some printable games: http://www.babyshowergamesatoz.com/

Draw Baby on Your Head
Give everyone a plain white paper plate. Then have each person place the plate on their head and do their best job of drawing a baby. Once they have removed from their head they are not allowed to add anything to the drawing.

Have the guests write their name on the back of the
plate and then give all plates to the "mother-to-be" to judge. Best drawing of baby is winner!

A Mother's Purse

Read a list of items and ask each guest to try
and find it in her purse. Assign each item with points (the odder the item, the higher the points).
The person the most points and is the winner.

Something that rattles (besides keys and loose change)
Something that is pink
Something that is blue
A crayon
A baby picture
A picture of a group of children
At least one dollar in coins
A toy
Something that a child could write on
Something that bounces
Something that squeaks
Something that is soft
A napkin or wet wipe
A piece of candy
A non-sweet snack
A safety pin

Baby Questions

Pass out note cards and pencils to each guest, asking them to write down common baby questions such as "what do you do when a baby cries?" or "how do you get a baby to sleep through the night?" Then collect all the cards, mix them up and distribute them face down (so no one can see the questions) one to each guest. Each person write the answer to her/his initial question on the blank side of the card they received. Then when everyone has finished, take turns reading the question with the answer... great laughs!

Try Not to Say "BABY"

Every guest gets a baby diaper pin and pins it to their clothes. Everyone tries not to say the word "BABY" at anytime during the party. When someone does say the word "Baby" and another guests catches the slip and confiscates the pin. The person with the most number of pins at the end of the party wins!

Estimate the Mommy-to-be's Waist

Pass around a ball of string and a pair of scissors. Each guests cuts off a piece of string in the length she guesses will fit around the Mommy-to-be's waist. Guests may NOT put the string around themselves or each other to make their guess. When everyone is finished, Mommy tries on each string. Person with the closest length of string wins!

baby bingo- have them draw a bingo box and fill in with gifts they think mommy will get, as she opens, they cross them off and bingo
what was mommy wearing- make a list of questions for ex. was mommy wearing earings? etc....copy for as many persons will be there and have mommy leave the room, ask questions and then have mommy come back in so they can see her
don't say baby-buy colored string like the stuff you put on xmas presents but blue for boy and pink for girl and buy at a craft store plastic baby safety pins...make necklaces with the string and safety pins....any time anyone says the word baby, whoever hears them takes their necklace....at the end of the shower whoever has the most necklaces gets a prize!

Last idea but definitely not the least......Make/buy a card and have everyone sign it. This card saying that mommy and daddy to be need not worry about sending out a thank you card to them that they know that the soon to be parents are thankful! This saves time and money!(after the baby there won't be much to spare)

I just went to my friend's baby shower last weekend, so here are a couple ideas for you!

The first game was "Taste the baby food"...yes, there were 7 jars of open babyfood on a tray (display was nice) and we could sniff and taste and then write down on our piece of paper what was what...I didn't taste any of it, and should of because I failed miserably...try the sweet potatoes..everyone will be pretty sure it's carrots..nobody could figure out the coconut either-it smelled like vanilla..

The second one consisted of 7 disposable diapers with a different chocolate bar melted into each one (yes, looks like varying degrees of diarrhea). As a word of caution, be careful using the microwave to melt the chocolate while on the diaper, you could cause a fire :) Again, your guests can sniff and taste and write their answers down.

Hello!! I just built a page on my website that has SENTIMENTAL games for the shower! There is also a neat scavenger hunt game....which is great when out of town relatives and friends can't come to the shower but want to contribute (they can help pay for these bigger ticket items).

Check out the page, if you like!! Unique games featured that don't involve eating things out of diapers or tasting mashed peas!!

If the mummy is going with a topic for the toddler nursery then carry that topic over into the toddler bathe. to illustrate, my sister is doing her toddler boy's nursery in safari and we are utilising that as her toddler bathe topic as nicely. beautify the development, room, residing house in decor to examine the subject. a number of the decor is additionally used for the toddler while that's born! (suggestions may be blankets as a table cloth, wood letters above the tables which will nicely be publish interior the nursery, etc.) undemanding meals that are served at toddler showers are fruit and veggie plates with dip, chips, mints, pretzels, small finger food sized sandwiches, punch, and of direction cake. you additionally can desires to furnish water and soda for people who don't decide for punch. some toddler showers have video games and others do no longer. some video games may be "the toddler recreation". The purpose is to no longer say the be conscious "toddler" for the duration of the full toddler bathe. the individuals left on the top of the bathe that did no longer say "toddler" win a small prize. there is likewise the "toddler Poop recreation". Get a sparkling diaper and take a chocolate candy bar and rub it on the diaper. somebody is blind folded and that they are allowed to sniff and flavor the chocolate and could wager the candy bar. you could look online for different toddler bathe video games. some small prizes must be candles, $5 present enjoying cards (standard places may be Starbucks, Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, Wal-Mart, etc.), chapstick or lipgloss, etc. make confident yo provide out social gathering favors on the top of the bathe as a thank you. some lovable concepts may be mini toddler bottles crammed with some form of annoying candy, a serviette pinned to look like a diaper with some Hershey Kisses interior the middle, or a thank you card with a image of the sonogram linked to it.

Just recently went to one and what you can do is get blue or pink cloths and safety pins and each guest that comes over you put one on them and if you or anybody else catches them with there legs crossed you get to take it away from them. Also you get a big bowl of rice {not cooked} and you put little little safety pins in them and you have the guest sit next to the table and the bowl on there right or left side {not infront of them} and they cant look in the bowl they have to look away and the first time you catch them with there legs crossed you take there cloth away and than there game is over its the next persons turn. those are the only two games i know of.
