Do you know why people make the mistake of blaming God for all the suffering in the world? In many cases, they blame Almighty God because they think that he is the real ruler of this world. They do not know a simple but important truth that the Bible teaches. You learned that truth in Chapter 3 of this book. The real ruler of this world is Satan the Devil.
The Bible clearly states: “The whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one.” (1 John 5:19) When you think about it, does that not make sense? This world reflects the personality of the invisible spirit creature who is “misleading the entire inhabited earth.” (Revelation 12:9) Satan is hateful, deceptive, and cruel. So the world, under his influence, is full of hatred, deceit, and cruelty. That is one reason why there is so much suffering.
A second reason why there is so much suffering is that, as discussed in Chapter 3, mankind has been imperfect and sinful ever since the rebellion in the garden of Eden. Sinful humans tend to struggle for dominance, and this results in wars, oppression, and suffering. (Ecclesiastes 4:1; 8:9) A third reason for suffering is “time and unforeseen occurrence.” (Ecclesiastes 9:11) In a world without Jehovah as a protective Ruler, people may suffer because they happen to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.
It is comforting for us to know that God does not cause suffering. He is not responsible for the wars, the crimes, the oppression, or even the natural disasters that cause people to suffer. Still, we need to know, Why does Jehovah allow all this suffering? If he is the Almighty, he has the power to stop it. Why, then, does he hold back? The loving God that we have come to know must have a good reason.—1 John 4:8.

For one there is no god, only the nature of the universe. If one hasn't figured this out, its because they haven't even listen to the words of the bible. "If you seek, you shall find." How many religious people out there have actually read into the contradictions of their religions AND the arguments in favor of their religions. Most of them have only read whats in favor. But this is another issue.
As far as children doing drugs, your asking the wrong question. the question should be how do we prevent OUR children from doing drugs? The simple answer is of course "Tell your children of the dangers of drugs." This is effective, but not as much as we would like. If our children listened to every word we said we would perhaps have a better world(keyword perhaps). But they are children and they don't know better. So..... how about this. A healthy loving and positive family, over the entire course of the child's life will more than likely prevent them from doing abusive drugs. Most people do drugs to fill void in their lives. My friends its all about the long term effect, not just the short fix. And lets not blame god for our children doing drugs. We are responsible!!!!!

I am sorry that you are hurting so much. Don't pound your head on the wall, you raised your child the best you could, it is not easy. However, our children makes their own decisions that have nothing to do with us. I had the same thing happen with my oldest son. He hardly ever called and when he did it was for money. As the years went by he straightened up. But these are choices the kids make. God does say in His word that anyone who hurts a child will suffer. I hope everything turns out alright for you and you son.

The Lord does not allow our children to do drugs. Our children are doing drugs not because of the Lord but because they have fallen off the path of what is right and what is wrong. The Lord like the children's parents direct them to be aware of such poor judgment but THEY are the final decisions makers after all the guidance we give them!!! The Lord does not run our lives he only guides us with wisdom to follow the path of righteousness.

You obviously have forgotten your childhood, children are not innocent. If you think they are, somebody has been pulling your finger. Its not like the drugs are forced on them like shots are, so perhaps those shots start them on the road to experimentation? Oh, and God says he will never tempt us beyond our ability to refuse, so maybe your innocent children haven't relied on God in the first place. Also, your son is in a place where his peers demand he do evil things, its the new education because general college isn't about higher education, its about fooling professors, employers and the police. The sad thing is nobody wants to believe it, Better you forget I even mentioned this truth. lol

God does not force His will on to anyone..he allows people to choose what they want to do....He does not create robots..if He fixed everything immediately..or stopped everyone from doing what they chose..we would be robots..no choice..no free will..slaves to Him..not peple who come to Him because they love Him, need Him, want Him. He gives us opportunities to learn about what is good for us and what is not....and if children go and decide to try drugs..they have chosen to so what makes them so innocent? Surely they must have been taught right from wrong..surely they see the advertisements etc...
In all honesty I believe that so many humans want to put all the responsibility and blame of everything onto God and they want to take no responsibility for their own actions..what a selfish world this is!

How easy is it for everyone to blame God for everything bad. Why not cast blame where the blame lies. Satan is the one destroying all of our children with drugs. And I put some of the blame on the parents, because they are less involved in their children lives. Then some of the children just don't care because they don't have or know God.

If the Lord went to smiting everyone for drug use, there would be very little people left on earth.
Besides, theres something called free will.
I rather hold the parents to blame if their kids are into drugs.

Free will - He gives us the choice of doing what we want - He has no part of children taking drugs - the real question should be - why did the parents not teach their children better?
