A barren and fertile mind is an oxymoron. However, I think it thrives whenever greed is present, whether it be for money or power.

I used to see all fear as being rooted in fear, because fear is what prompts our fight or flight instincts to kick in, leading to anger, jealousy and all the other bad little bits.
However, I've changed that opinion slightly, and added a step ahead of fear: Ignorance. We fear that which we don't understand, and since our little species still understands so little, we fear one hell of a lot.
So yeah, I'm in agreement.

evil?? i think your talking about satan.. because he thrives everywhere on the weak and on the strong... he loves to see anyone collapse into his sins... i think he especially love to see christians mess up... so you really have to keep a strong faith to help from falling into most sins...
