You should wait for his call. He is probably just waiting a few days to call so he doesn't seem desperate.

Well being 16 and all you have nothing to lose if you just flat out say you like him, but that is also very awkward and you might be shy. I remember my crush when I was 16, same thing. I just tried to hang out when possible or invite him to do things besides school. Lots of guys are flattered, just like you would be if you make the first step.
Try to find things you both enjoy and have in common. He'll eventually get the hint! Trust me. But then again some guys never catch on. Maybe a friend can help you out and talk to him for you. Crushes are always fun, your so cute!!! Good luck!
PS You might also want to consider if having a relationship can get in the way of your friendship in the long run. BUt whatever HAVE FUN!!!!

By all means call him. You communicate well at school and so it shouldn't be tough on the phone after the initial nerves anyway. What do you talk with him about now? You can make up an excuse if you want to, but you could also continue a conversation you had at school. Have you gotten a decent idea of what he likes? If so it is a good place to start. I wouldn't wait for him to call you unless you at least give him your number and say "I like talking to you, why don't you call me sometime?"

If you want to call him, then I would say "DO IT!" Maybe he is a little unsure your feelings. I see no harm in calling him to just talk. It isn't like it was years ago, when it was considered pretty bold for a young lady to call a guy.
This is advice I would give my own grandchildren. Boys or girls. There is nothing wrong with making a phone call. So, if you feel like you are ready to call him, then do it.
I am no expert, but it seems like if he likes talking to you at school,he shouldn't mind a phone call. As for an excue, I wouldn't make one up. There is nothing like honesty. Just tell him you enjoy talking to him at school and hope he doesn't mind you calling him at home to talk for a little while. .

I would call him with reasons about school for a couple of days.. maybe three or four days in a row. Kinda get the routine going. Then don't call him for atleast a day. If he starts calling you then you know how he feels.
This way you aren't too vulnerable and risking everything.. just testing the waters.
Good luck~

If you talk to him don't be nervous. Just talk to him like you would your friends or anyone else. Just talk for a while ... add some flirts in your conversation and then he might ask you out if he thinks your the right girl for him. Be nice and crack jokes every ONCE in a while. Not all the time or he might just think your weird. I hope you two get together somethime ! :)

the first time you should ask about school then spread out and talk about other stuff. when you both are comfortable with talking over the phone then call him for no reason (just to talk). and let him do so too, if you miss his call, call him back, if you dont then he might not think you like him anymore.

Something as simple as who called first never matters in a relationship; you should call him to avoid having to wait. You don't need an excuse to call him; men like things to be straight forward, make it apparent that you like him.

He likes you too. But he is shy himself. I wouldn't call just yet he might get scared off. Try a little note that says "what are you doing this weekend" that will spark up a good conversation and you will be talking on the phone before you know it.
