Evolution is hog wash, and the religion of the brain washed!
There is a soul it's the part of man that will live forever some where hell or heaven. The flesh is just a container that holds the soul. NO man or woman can retain their soul when the time comes for the soul to depart, from the container.

Some people might question the existence of a soul. I do believe in a soul and I also believe that God put evolution into place. So, we evolved but God created souls and that is how we are both. Body and soul.

My personal belief is that what we think of as "soul" comes from divinity. I fail to see how this disproves evolution in any way. I don't think the two are remotely related.
Evolution didn't create gravity, either, but surely gravity still exists.

According to the evolutionary model, I imagine that when the first man was born, his ape parents probably didn't realize that he had a soul. So this first man, who now had a soul, began contemplating his relationship with his Creator, while his ape parents gave him another banana.
Since this first man was raised by apes, he probably didn't get much of an education, maybe even worse than today's public schools. He didn't have to contend with the controversy over prayer in school, or the teaching of evolution.
I guess if we made a movie of his life growing up, we could call it "Planet of the Apes".

Forever and ever is how long God has existed, and shall exist. As human beings what we perceive is that for every end there is a beginning and for every beginning there is an end. Something like linear thinking. God is not linear, God is not the universe, God is everything, and our spirits are a gift from God, who is an everlasting spirit. It is the acceptance that we exist as part of a whole, and we are blessed to experience this life, that creates my soul. My belief in spirituality is not based upon a beginning and an end, but an everlasting co-existence with spirit.

If life started out as a single cell then why would not be a soul in it?

The soul does not exist. Consciousness is a function of the brain. Natural selection created the brain.

Your question assumes the existence of "soul." I am not certain what you mean by this word, and so cannot address your question. Could you possibly expand upon the notion of "soul?"
