Well, it may have been rude, or it could have saved my life. We have a lot of meanies on here, don't we?
As regards the person who asked how i would feel if someone didnt serve me food because of the way i looked.....wouldn't happen, if you knew that i looked like, you'd know that ;)

You need to get out more, get out of your comfort zone, and enjoy people. If your having problems with people because the way they look, then you should perhaps seek psychiatric help. Most people in modern countries are friendly, but cultural differences make them appear not to be. GET OUT AND EXPOSE YOURSELF TO MORE PEOPLE! HAVE FUN! GO OUT TO EAT! PEOPLE ARE AWESOME AND YOU CAN LEARN FROM THEM!!!

You can expect the delivery guy to be an immigrant or minority; the gorgeous looking white guy probably has a job making tons of money in Hollywood. If you don't trust people delivering stuff, drive over to the pizza place or to the store to get your own food, but I'd say odds are greater you'll get robbed in the parking lot than by the delivery guy... he at least has a job & also he knows you & the pizza place know he's there so he'll be the first suspect if anything happens. The dudes who have time to hang around a parking lot have no job to earn even a low wage and no phone records that can place them at the scene.

Don't feel too bad , I know a lot of people who have ordered food and when the food arrived they just knew that the piza wagon was a swat van .

If you order food. Pay for it. Expect them to look bad, and be of an immigrant appearance. These are low paying jobs, that teenagers used to do. Now they are done by adults that cannot get any other kind of job. So they are naturally going to look bad.
Feel lucky, if he has taken a shower lately and is not living out of his car.
AND! If he brings your food fast, or at least in a reasonable period of time, give him a tip!
He is working for minimum wage, or low commission.
This is another reason to support a higher minimum wage.

that was definitely the wrong thing to do. that poor man is working for a small amount of money, and your not answering the door resulted in him receiving less money for the day. thats a shame that you would do something like that just because of your insecurity...

Really, it's your door, and your life, you can refuse to open the door, but you should have followed up with a call to the food place, and told them why you refused to open the door, and if they were angry, said fine, I'll drop the money off the next time I am out.
