why do people insist that evolution is fact when just a christianity it is based purely on faith? you did not see it happen so why do you just know that it is true? one man came up with the Bible you say so it can't be true... Darwin came up with evolution... i am no expert in math but that is ONE!!! if you want to believe that you evolved from a glob of snot flaoting in the middle of the ocean then fine but don't say it is fact PLEASE... that's all im asking

Evolution is a scientific theory based on evidence gathered over hundreds of years by dedicated scientists. Like the theory of gravity, it appears to answer meet the criterion of "truth" in the eyes of the scientific community. Like Newton's Laws, there is probably more to it than originally thought (quantum physics messes with Newton a lot), but can still be a useful tool in explaining things.
I was raised in a Christian religion, just not a fundamentalist sect. There is no serious conflict between Christianity (believing that Jesus was God incarnate) and evolution (believing that environment and genetics can alter the offspring so that they differ from the parents and eventually elicit changes that are significant enough to be called a different species). It is only the "rules" set by certain humans that cannot see that the two are compatible.

If you are tired of factual reality you are tired of life, I guess that explains the escape into a dream world of faith. If you had any curiosity about reality you would find it as fascinating and awesome as Darwin did and as atheists do ...life in all it's variation it's horror and it's beauty would become awesome, wondrous and fascinating for you.
