wart on hand?

Question

when i was like 15 or something, i had a wart on my finger ...but it went away after i put wart medicine on it.....
i never had sex at that age but, it is possible that the wart on my finger was caused because i had hpv from start???i am curious
are the warts on the finger or hand different from the genital warts we get from hpv?anybody know anything about this?

HPV causes warts. But there are a lot of different strains of HPV. Some you're born with, some you catch from normal childhood stuff like playing in dirt and with other kids, and a few of them are STDs.

You may have a Papilloma virus (That's what the P stands for) but the kind that causes warts on your hand is totally different from the STD strains, and is absolutely no big deal.
