The Pillars of Belief (Aqeedah) in Islam are:

1. Allah - He is Unique without any partners. All worship is for Him alone.
2. Angels - Creations of Allah. They obey His commands at all times.
3. Books - All original revelations; Old Testament, New Testament, Last Testament (Quran) are from Allah.
4. Messengers - (prophets) of Allah. All prophets were humans and they came with a message for their people, in the language of the peole, so they could understand, "There is only One God - Worship Him alone, without partners."
5. Day of Judgment - All humands, good and bad will be raised up for Judgment.
6. Predestination - Allah already Knows the outcome of everything. There is nothing that happens in the heavens and the earth, except Allah has full knowledge and controla over it.

"O Allah! Grant that neither I nor my descendants ever worship idols." (Qur'an 14:35)

In the hadith we read: "What I fear most for you is the lesser shirk." When asked what it is, the Prophet answered, 'Hypocrisy.'"

In al-Bukhari's Sahih, we read that Ibn Mas'ood--radiya llaho `anho--reported:
"The Prophet of Allah--peace be upon him--said: 'Whoever dies while calling on associates to Allah shall enter Hell.'"

In Moslem's Sahih we read: Jaber--ra`a--reported that the Prophet of Allah--peace be upon him--said:
"Whoever meets Allah on the Day of Judgment not having associated aught with Him, shall enter Paradise; and whoever meets Him having done the contrary shall be consigned to Hell.'"
