I'd throw it in his face and order him to bring me my coffee black. Then i'd tell him to get on his hands and knees and let me use him as a foot stool whilst i drink it.
But then again, he's offering me a coffee... what a nice man. Meh, i'd still throw it in his face! He shouldn't have been so ignorant as to assume i like it white in the first place.

Is the fact that I drink my coffee black just a personal preference? Or will drinking milk make me ill or kill me?
If it isn't going to affect my health then I would just drink it.
Bottom's up!

This is a pointless issue. If your director called you into his office, he has a business to discuss with you. If your drink isn't what you want, don't consume it. Taking it any further will only make you look pitty.

I don't drink coffee. But if I did, I would not drink diluted coffee. If you take it black-then tell him.

Yes, just because he's your boss doesn't mean he's going to want you to suffer through a cup of coffee that you don't like or want. He'd probably wouldn't even be phased by it.

I would politely sip it, but not really drink much. If he asks why you aren't drinking it, then you can say you prefer black. That way, you don't hurt his feelings and appear to appreciate the gesture.

no, not unless you are lactose intolerant or allergic. take 2 sips and leave the rest. don't come off too picky or trivial, like the guy that salted his meal before tasting it at the business lunch, tells volumes about a person
