Air-i-Kuh,
You can do it, though I'm not entirely sure you should try. Why would you want to? Why this deadline? I think you have a goal which is a bit too high for yourself. You might want to start and do what you can, but not push yourself too much.
We're about the same size. I'm 5" 8" and weighed 164 before I became a vegetarian and started running. I'm now 140 and have been for several years. It didn't take long to lose the weight, and I feel great, so it's clear that this will do you no harm, but do be careful. People will notice and will wonder if you're sick. They certainly were concerned about me--"You look like a stick!" was one comment. It's not true, but that's the way some people are.
It's fairly easy to do as long as you remain dedicated to it and don't mind feeling a little hungry most of the time. That's the price you'll pay for a weight loss this fast.
OK, assuming that your weight is presently stable--you're not gaining weight, right?-- you can do one of two things:
1. Use the Rule of Ten. What is your target weight, 140? 145? Start eating in calories ten times that weight. That is, 1400 to 1450 calories per day, and do some aerobic exercising, jogging preferably, about 30 minutes a day for four days a week.
2. Whatever you're eating now, lower that. If you do that by 500 calories (assuming, again that your weight is stable, that you're not presently gaining weight. If you are, you'll need to cut back a bit more). All you need to do is to have a calorie deficit of 500 calories per day (every day, so no cheating) to lose one pound a week, four pounds a month. To double that, of course, you'll need to double that, but a deficit of 1000 calories per day will put you in danger of malnutrition. Since you're in a youth group, you're probably still growing, and malnutrition at this stage would not be healthy for you.
I think you might be hoping to lose too much too soon. Try the Rule of Ten, don't eat any (ANY) processed food or sugar, jog, and lose what you can and be satisfied with that.
I would not be surprised to find that, as soon as the trips to the Y are over, you'll go back to eating what you have been and gain all the weight back, anyway. That's the usual course when someone loses weight to look a certain way by a certain time. When we no longer have to look like that, the motivation to keep the weight off is gone, and the discipline to do so disappears.
You really need to want to weigh the right amount for your age and height and eat the right amount to weigh that much, for your health's sake, not for your reputation.
I hope you make your goal. Good luck.

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.
I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.
It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.
Get started today!

Change your attitude. Don't see this as losing something but a great gain and achievement. Write down all the things you will gain from passing this weight back to the universe. Eg hot boy/girl friend. more energy. Self confidence. Better clothes. Then write a plan. As much fruit, vegetables and salads as you want. Servings of meat no greater than the palm of your hand. No takeaways!!!! No soft drink. Use low fat versions of familiar foods such as cheeses milk and breads and biscuits. Stay away from refined carbs and sugars as they contribute to cravings.
Reward yourself once a week with a small portion of a special treat and really saviour it. eg ONE slice of pizza (it tastes great with a nice fresh salad) Exercise everyday. Walking swimming riding a bike for 30 to 45 minutes.
Plan ahead. When are those moments you are most likely to fail?
Cravings only last a minute so Plan ahead. Delay reacting to the craving. Read the list of the things you are gaining. Have a nice big drink of water. Go for a walk. Phone a friend and say hello. Do gardening. And WELCOME IN THE NEW YOU.
