I am in college right now and I'm wondering what I should major in to pursue this field. Any sort of advice would be amazing!! Thanks a bunch...

I am Baptist and I live in Texas. I am almost sure this is what God is calling me to do, but of course I am still praying about it. I love listening to people and hearing about their problems but I get frustrated because there's not really anything I can do right now other than give them some type of advice that I come up with. I guess I just want to do everything in my power to become the best counselor I can...

I would contact a Christian college and find if they have a program for this. Sounds very interesting. People need guidance based on God's word....best wishes to you in your pursuit of this career.

The teachings of Christ and the theories of Psychology are generally in direct opposition to one another. So in essense, it depends on what type of counselor you are aiming to be.
