Well write something from the heart, a nice love poem, and a cd with your favorite love song!

You just have to decide how much this bothers you. I know you are not materialistic. Its not WHAT he gets you that bothers you. Its that he doesnt seem to put any effort into it. Which you translate as not caring. Some guys just arent good at the romance thing. Every year I have to poke and prod to get my husband to do something for V-Day. This is the first year (of 8) that he has done anything worth while. And thats only bc I finally gave him a list of ideas he could pick from (cuz he cant ever think of anything on his own). It is an irrtating quality, but it doesnt mean he doesnt care. Is he affectionate? Is he there for you when you need him? Then let him show you his feelings in his own way. In the meantime, try a list. It worked for me this year.

It depends on how long you have known him.

If it is relatively recent, new relationship, don't make it too mushy, but make it nice. Don't worry about rhyming or whatever, just tell how you feel in a few short lines.

If you have been together a long time, write a nice somewhat long one that tells him how much you admire him, and what qualities you admire.

The nicest card I ever got for my birthday (before I was married) was from a girl I knew in college, where she just told it like it was, over half a page.

It has to come from your heart. Write to him about how special you think he is. Write about all the things you love about him and all the things that make you smile. Once you get started those feelings really start to flow. Good luck.

I used to find poems and stories off the internet, and copied and pasted. Then last year I wrote her a poem and letter from my heart. It sucked but she loved it because she knew it was from my heart. Just write what you feel.

You own my soul , your own my heart
I feel the loss when we're apart
You give to me all that is good
Do I say that often, as I should
You make my life, you are my love
You surely came from up above
To show me how it feels to care
and through your love I am aware
That dark though this life can be
my path is lit by your love for me

ok well if u havn't been datin for too long then make sure. not to say I love u to quickly, that can lead to bad things. But if u have been dating for a wheil or u have already said I love u then its ok. also write it in red, or pink ink. And also maybe also write it in celigraphy.

Assuming your BF doesn't read poetry, go to the library and look something up.
