Can A Catholic Be Spirit Filled?

And no one can say, "Jesus is Lord," except by the holy Spirit.

This belief is proclaimed at every Mass in the Nicene Creed (from 325 A.D.) when all Catholics say:

We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God.

I think Mother Teresa and Pope John Paul II were two of the most spirit-filled people in the recent past.

Yes. My sister is still a catholic. She accepted Christ during the charismatic movement in the 70's. We spent much time together and we read our bibles together. We never discussed issues that are sectarian. All the issues that divide us are what causes so many denominations. We never argued about such things. I think that is part of being in the Spirit. There is no division in the Spirit. We are one in Christ. The Bible is no longer defined by men but is understood as the Holy Spirit is our teacher.

Yes! I grew up Catholic....and it didn't stop God from baptizing me in His Holy Spirit....
I am filled with his power and joy...and the gifts of the Spirit flow freely.....

All it takes is a willing vessel and a humble heart ...and a prayer to God.
