Looking at purchasing a third bird have a Male sun conure & a female green cheek conure. *She loves to cuddle with the sun but my sun tends to shy away from the Green cheek. However, they do interact by playing tug of war with toys and communicate back and forth when they are on opposite sides of the room. They sleep together. The Green cheek does not seem to get as much attention as she wants from the sun conure.
When I bring her to the pet sto, is this a good Idea re, she tries to bop her head and tries to get the other birds attention? How much moor work is a third bird? If I get one that will play with the green cheek will I be label to take the sun out without her being jellies?

I actually have three birds: a cockatoo, a sun conure and a caique. They each have their own cage, so that means three cages to clean. I really think that each birds should have his own cage. Even if they get along, everybody needs their personal space sometimes, right? If you have the time and think you can handle the extra work, that's great.

However, be careful. You can never be sure that your birds will get along with another bird. All of them have different personalities just like people. So if you bring a new bird home, he may not get along with your green cheek or your sun. There may be jealousy. You can never tell.

Please remember that any bird can carry disease, even if it looks perfectly healthy. So, if you decide to buy another bird you need to quarantine it for a while, keep it in another room away from your birds until you are sure that it is healthy. You need to keep it quarantined for about a month. You don't want your other birds to get sick.

Finally, make sure you have enough time to give them all the attention that they need. Remember that you have friends, family, you may go to school or work, etc... Your birds only have you. They rely on you for love and attention. When you have three, they all want to play with you and snuggle, so make sure you have the time for all of them.

Please consider all of these ideas in your decision. Good luck and enjoy your feathered buddies!
