I love having a glass of wine after or with dinner every night. I like both white and red--prefer red. I alternate, depending on what is on sale and what gets good ratings on taste and quality.

Will i end up aging quicker, having liver problems, colon cancer, other problems longterm if I continue having a little to drink every day?

I am not by any means a substance abuser and take GREAT care of my body in terms of exercise, eating, sleep, vitamins, mental, etc. I just want to keep it that way!

No, it is great for your health. They have found red wine has resveratrol, and that seems to be a miracle ingredient for helping with heart health, and other things you mention. One glass will help a lot, as long as you don't keep drinking more. White wine doesn't have as much of the benefits because the chemicals are in the skin, and white wine doesn't include the skin. The resveratrol levels in white wine are much less, often about 20% of the red wine. There is also less fiber in white wine. It does have many of the benefits, but not as much of the miracle ingredients.

Actually, there have been many many studies that show that a moderate amount of red wine each day is actually good for you.

It prevents heart disease and has been connected with longer lifespans.

As long as it remains a moderate amount, there shouldn't be a problem.

If indeed, are drinking a glass of wine a day, it is healthy. The doctors will tell you one ounce of alcohol a day will help keep the doctors away, but only one ounce, no more.
AA will tell you , you are an alcoholic. They have different levels of alcolholism. Personally, I think they take things too far, but hey! what ever works for you.

The only reservations I would have is if you are pregnant. No safe amount of alcohol has been determined in pregnancy, so it's best not to have any. But other than that, one glass has been shown to be beneficial.

See if you can go a day or two without your glass of wine. See if you think about it a lot. Break down and have it anyway. THEN you are an alcoholic. If not, then you're fine.
