You cannot pass to the United States, traveling from Mexico because you need a passport even though you might be an American citizen no exemptions because the Laws have changed recently and it is difficult to pass to our side. I know since I live in Laredo, TX. very near to Mexico.

if you are an American, I beleive you can get away with just a Drivers Liscense. But I'd bring a passport just in case.
