The seventh day rest was a type and shadow of Christ. He is our continual sabbath. We are to respect authority otherwise our heart becomes hardened by rebellion. That's why we should respect to our parents who are the first authority figures that we have.

Respecting parents is a "world-life" attitude and institution which, for all what is defined as normal, a normal and inherit trait in most living organisms above plant life.
