Commitment is a personal choice and we straight people do not possess any priority or advantage to stop other people from doing what they want. Objection to gay marriage should remain solely as an opinion and not turn into self suggested power to impose own believes on other people. Moreover when you live with somebody and love them and care about them you want them to be protected by law. They want the same rights as married people. They want tax breaks, 401, inheritance and lots of other advantages we do have. And why not? They're human beings, right?! And who are we to deprive them from some basic rights?!

No....And if you read this board and cannot understand what's wrong with this world today (killing, raping, kidnapping etc) you have a problem! Morals are not taught in homes or schools anymore and now people are trying to make it ok for gays to get married? Read The BIBLE! It is wrong.

Honestly --- I don't see the point of "STRAIGHT marriage"; but if gay people want to get married it doesn't have any impact on my life...I won't bother them about it.

So i really dont know how to answer this question for you but here goes my beliefs {christian} would have to be a NO for my answer to your question. But my opinion i feel as though we should all be treated equal and if they want to get married let them, its just to much drama to be stressing over if they love each other so let them be.

Marraige is a covenant between you, your spouse, and God. This is by definition. Therefore, it doesnt matter whether gays are given the right to be married in the legal sense...because God will never consider it binding. All the gay couple has done is perform a ceremony, which they can do now anyway.

Edit: Picture you're in a 20 mile marathon. You decide you don't want to run so you get in your car and then drive to the finish line. Then you actually get mad when you are disqualified for cheating. Did you travel the 20 miles? (yes) Did you win a trophy for "coming in first?" (of course not) It's laughable but really this analogy is no different.

Yes, in my opinion. I support gay marriage. There are in a long term relationship and deserve the same rights as heterosexual couples.
