For all those who are responding to say turn the channel and whatever else. Its something I saw and thought was terrible. Its not about digging up the man or ranting about marketing strategies. Its about that commercial being a really weird and noticably so.

They've lost their damn minds. Some cryo-zombie ghost pitch man doesn't really get my taste buds excited.

I don't necessarily think it's tasteless. After all, Orville did sell out to the big corporation long before he died.
I have seen the commercial and the guy they have pretending to be Orville is really creepy. The least they could have done was hire a better actor! I doubt if Orville cares though.

It's just creepy to be using some actor that has a plastic old face, trying to talk like Orville. Definitely doesn't make me want popcorn. And that says a lot because I LOVE my popcorn!

It's an ad to sell you product. If using a Fake old dead guy is the most tastely commercial you've noticed, you need to flip to some other channels.

I also wonder if this isn't an example of the Uncanny Valley. In short the more humanistic something looks that isn't human, the more we don't like it.
P.S. It's not an actor. It's a CGI.

I thnk they took the poor old guy to a taxidermist and had him turned into an animatronic.....
