I am currently in Connections Academy, it is considered public school because it gives you all the lessons and it even has teachers that grade the work. It does have a few classes that have CD's but you really dont need them if you have internet. They give you books and if you have finacial problems they will pay for a few months internet and at the begining of the year they will send you a computer(if you dont already have one).
It is currently only available in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Minnesota, Nevada, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. If you live in one of these states I HIGHLY reccomend this school.
It only goes from K-10, but next it will go to K-11, and the year after that it will be a full K-12 school.
Oh, and it is COMPLETELY FREE, I was noticing that some of the schools these other people were suggesting cost money, so I was just making sure you knew.

You could try:
http://www.flvs.net/
This is for the Florida Virtual School, but they do accept students outside the state, though from what I understand students outside Florida do have tuition.
For Middle Schoolers they have Art, Keyboarding, Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies and something called "Study Skills" that I believe is a test-prep thing for standardized testing.
