I had an enlighting convo this past summer with an ignorant dog owner. he had a beautiful mastif puppy and was talking to me and my boyfriend about one of our dogs he wanted to know his dog was going to get as big as ours. Then he proceeded to tell us how he was going to keep him chained in the back yard or basement so he dosnt get much contact with other people so he will be mean and also not feed his as much to be ornary... for those of you who think like that this "?" is for you.... say your the dog would you protect your owner that treats you as an equal feeds you all your meals and the ocasional treat hamburger of the 1$ menu..not recoming but i do it. lets you sleep in their bed hugs and kisses you when they come home or that owner"stranger"thats taking you from being tied up in the back yard all day then pushing you down the basment stairs into the dark to be their alone all night. I would protect my friend. hopefully this helps you as it helped him.For all of u uneducated ownrs

This person is clueless when it comes to raising dogs, email him all the answers you get, maybe he will expand his mind and he will have a change of heart. This dog will develope no loyalty towards this man, And if I had a Mastiff, I surely would not want to be its enemy

i wouldn't leave the dog on its own. it is not safe that's why there has been so many dog mallings in the past couple of years from lack of care and love. dogs have feelings too. its not fair for them to be left in a garage or a backyard all day unattended. it will grow mean and get a burglar but it probably will get you also. that's animal cruelty. maybe it just might attack himand rip off his face. then people would have to keep him in a garage so other people wouldnt get sick off of the hideousness of his face. then hewould know how the dog felt.

NEVER LOCK A DOG UP THAT'S BAD IF YOU KEEP THE DOG IN THE HOUSE IT COULD ATTACK THE ROBBER SO DON'T LOCK THE DOG UP AND FEED IT AT BREAKFAST AND DINNER FEED ABOUT A CUP OR A HALF A CUP FOR A SMALLER DOG.

Unless your neighbor was just putting you on, which I doubt.........I would turn him in for animal abuse..........because that is what it is.

the dogs get angry if you lock it inside. the dog will attack the robber. still, it could attack you...
