no, whenever they're fixed, they get their balls removed. And I mean completely removed. Therefore, nomore reproduction, because there is no sperm.

Can a male dog sire a litter after being fixed?

Yes. A dog can still impregnate a female for up to two or three weeks after being neutered. Sperm is made in the testicle but requires 10 to 14 days to mature in a squiggly thing attached to the testicle called the epididymis. This maturing can happen anywhere along the vas deferens (the tube from the epididymis out). The vas deferens can’t be removed so the young sperm that were there matured and became fertile.

You must have been absent the day they covered this in your high school biology class.

Male dogs can not produce sperm after neutering. In neutering, the testicles are removed.

There may be sperm still present in the ductus deferens (the carrying-away vessel) after the dog is neutered. Should the male dog mate with a female in heat, sperm would be ejaculated, and this may result in pregnancy. Since the ductus deferens is not a favorable place for sperm, they should not be viable long.

For a short period of time after they are neutered, yes. I had a min pin male that I got fixed when my son gave him to me. As I was raising chihuahuas, I didn't want to worry about keeping him seperated from the girls. Well, the day after he was neutered, he tied with one of my females and 2 months later, we had pups. The female was not with our male chihuahua. I asked my vet about this and he laughed and said yes, they can retain sperm for a couple of weeks after the surgery. Other vets have said up to a month.

sperm is produced in the testicles. Once they are removed, no sperm can be produced.

no, or else it would do no good to have one fixed. Once they've been neutered, they cannot produce no more sperm, they're testicles have been cut

No, I have actually worked in a vet's office and have seen the procedure done. They do not have testicles after they are fixed.
