Tiny bit nauseated too...Any one have similar symptoms....Or similar symptoms while on Prozac and how long did this last? I am 20 lbs overweight so weight loss not an issue for now.

Effexor was prescribed in July '06 for very sudden and severe depression and anxiety brought on by problems with husband. Worked up to 150mg taken at night...no problems at all!! This was a WONDER DRUG for me! Yes, I did experience brain shivers and the shifting eye thingy and a rash for a few months but not untolerable. This drug took effect within SEVEN DAYS!!! It was great! Dr. now ready to wean my off and leave me on Prozac for awhile. Which is fine by me.

I had similar problems when I stopped taking effexor.. My symptoms only lasted about 2 weeks. Have you also experienced "brain shocks"? It almost feels like a short electrical pulse to your brain? HORRIBLE. I also had problems with my vision, almost as if my eyes moved slower than they should.. It seems almost as if they developed this anti-depressant to be a lifelong treatment. Good luck, your appetite will come back soon and hopefully the nausea will pass around the same time. My appetite was awful for the first 4-5 days but started to improve afterwords.

It will honestly last about 3 weeks. Stay strong..and try to bear the Brain Shivers. You can do it!
