Download this safe and free program called Advanced Windows Care, it might fix it. Other things to check for, do you have allot of stuff in your Systems Tray (where the time is displayed) outside of your virus and firewall. Those extra things suck down system resources, and will cause programs to run slow or freeze. You can put in more RAM, but it's easier to shut down those extra programs and try it. If you have upgraded to the new Internet Explorer 7 you might want to change a setting to help it out. Assuming you might have upgraded, do this: Click on Tools, choose Options. Under the first tab, General, You will see Browsing History, click on the Settings button. Another window will appear, and you will see Disk Space to Use, type in 50, and click on OK. You might have adware/spyware. Go to www.downloads.com and download ad-aware se and run the program. Hope that works.
