It is very easy to check:

1. Look on the top bar of the window, where it has options like "File"
2. Between "Format" and "Table," there should be an option that says "Tools. Click this.
3. Go down through the choices until you find "Word Count."
4. It should open a little window that tells you how many pages, words, characters with and without spaces, paragraphs and lines.
5. If there is certain part that you would like to count, scroll over that section and highlight it. Then, go through steps 1-4, and the program should tell you.

Good luck on your essay!

Go to up to tools, then click on word count. It will count all the words in your document. You can also highlight a selection of words then click on word count and it will only count the words highlighted.
