I'd like to hear from this smart guy. From the responses, I think a lot of us would. I'm calling his hand. I've got the words of God in mine.

This has been good. "That" serpent "did" talk, and he questioned what God said. I can produce a talking mule too.
I like the one about hell being real and Jesus being God. I said "proven wrong". If you believe hell is real you'll get saved. If you believe Jesus is God then you probably "are" saved.
They all cower being the old earth idea, and that cannot be proven.
I have no problem with unicorns. You can find satyrs too.
There were lots of strange animals on the earth before the flood. We had sons of God mating with women and giants upon the earth in those days.
It wasn't so long ago that giant gorillas were unheard of. And who has seen the architeuthis?
You guys will have to do better than that. I said "proven wrong". So did the first asker.

I like this one from Skeff, about ancient men writing about the unexplainable. (1Pet 1:20-21) And then asking about "proven true".
You don't get it Skeff. The Bible is innocent until proven guilty. You're criticizing it of being wrong. The burden of proof is on the prosecution, not the defense.
Lots of doubts have been cast. And lots of ridicule. But still no proof. Come on. You're so smart. Prove it.

For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. - 1Pet 2:21

The one I really wanted to pick was this one: "WOW. the words of God is simply the bible."
Everyone wants to cast doubt on the miracles in the Bible, or where God has simply intervened on behalf of his people.
In the not too distant future, you're going to see a man killed with a sword and rise from the dead with one bad eye, and proclaim that he is god and demand worship. And he'll order the decapitation of anybody who won't take his mark.
Hard to believe? I don't think so. Nobody offered even a reasonable doubt that the book was wrong.

Did you know that the bible does not state that the world is 6,000 years old. How much time elapses between Gen 1:1 and Gen 1:2?
Could be Billions of years. So, when a scoffer tries to throw that arguement back at you, then they just aren't reading their bible.

To Damascus, THE WORLD IS NOT YET OVER...it can happen any day now. And science tries to explain what it doesn't understand. Whatever does not fit its criteria as possible is automatically dismissed as incredible. And when it is proved wrong, it changes its theory. In the past, whenever science has changed its theory, most educated individuals would not believe in the former after it has lost its credibility. What about the Christians, after years of criticism, still cling to faith? Despite what you and others say, there are many people out there who do believe in the Bible the only book that has raised the most controversy since 1000's of years ago. That alone is proof that it holds some significance to truth.

We have absolutely no idea how long the Garden of Eden was around before the world fell and time began to seriously exist. So the world could be billions of years old.... BUT a lot of the testing such as carbon dating has had a lot of debates regarding reliability.
Then there are such things as miracles.
And there is a lot of evidence for a flood, geologically. Geez, even discovery channel did a big thing on it lol.

In "Numbers", The 3th book of the Bible, when Moses was with his people in the desert, a census was carried out to know with how many soldiers they could count and the number of men fit for the war was 600,000.
Does it not mean that the amount of Jews living in the desert and feeding themselves from the Manna was of more than 2,000,000 living 40 years in tents?
Absolutely hard to believe!!!
This was before the GENOCIDE on Jericho.

Well, it is kind of hard to have this conversation if you disregard all science now isn't it?
The most basic answer, if you belief in evolution or not, there is proof that HUMANS have life on this earth far beyond 6-7,000 years. You can look at it from any scientific field you want, they all come to the same conclusion, with evidence backing. The Bible chronicles to events to historical times, so something doesn't match eh?
And over 100 smaller inconsistencies, such as claiming the moon gives of its own light, obviously not true.
Overall, just a comic read. I studied it though, the same as I did for many other major world religions.

OK, let me get this straight . . . . . The proof of a talking serpent is that no one has ever proved it wrong?
I'd still like to know what language Adam and Eve spoke. I guess this pretty well proves that they spoke pig latin since no one has ever proved that they didn't.

hehehe..the bible is not meant to be taken literally, it is full of allegories. I am not a Christian, but the bible has some important lessons. Unfortunately it has been a tool to keep many people enslaved, and is used to justify horrible acts of violence against humanity. The bible is simple the "The Greatest Story Ever Sold"
But personally it is a valuble book full of symbols. But the average person does not understand allegories or symbols.

Nothing has ever been proven wrong in the Bible, if you know the Bible you should know that everything the Bible says is exactly what has and what is taken place to this day. I resent the guy stating that the Bible is a book of fairy tales. I am sure he has never even read it. He really needs to!!

"The words of God" to which you refer are the words of ancient men attempting to explain what, to them, is the unexplainable. Most of which were written long after the "sacred events" about which they were written. Many of them were written, and fabricated, with specific, ulterior motives in mind.
What has been "proven true" (empirically) in the bible?

How about Isaiah 17.1? "An oracle concerning Damascus: See, Damascus will no longer be a city but will become a heap of ruins."
That has NEVER HAPPENED! Damascus is the world's oldest city with a continuous history.
