God evolved and through trial and error found that man was the best thing to be. Why did he make us? So we could enjoy each other's company.

God always has been and always will be. He doesn't live within the constrains of time like we humans do. He is above time. He created time. and if God "evolved" where did the first matter come from? some one or something must have created the very first "something." we know that something cannot come from nothing. but where did this Being come from? this Being must have always been. I know this is hard to understand. In fact, it's impossible to understand. That is because we as humans are limited. God is UNLIMITED. In Isaiah 55:8-9 , God says, "For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts." God did not "evolve", He just "was". And when the Bible says we were created in His image, it doesn't necessarily mean physical appearance. We have a soul. other animals don't. Humans are the only ones. The Bible doesn't say animals were made in God's image--just humans. it's in our likeness and personality and emotions. Throughout the Bible we see that God expiriences jealousy sadness, happpiness, to name a few. As humans, we desire love and communion with others. God does, too he created humans to love and to praise Him. But He did give us a free will, which is why so many fall away from God because of the traps of sin in this world. But it gives us a need to be "morally aware" and an understanding of good and evil. This is another way we were made in the likeness of God. Also, God is a living God as the Bible states in Acts 17:29. We, too are also living. Also, men act on logic and can reason and are intelligent creatures. God's understanding surpasses all other understanding as we find said in the Bible. Through these things, i believe that we were not created in the physical appearance of God, but rather in a deeper more meaningful way. I hope that this helped you. Here is a very good website that explains it even better.

In my opinion, and from what I understand from the Bible, God did not "come to be". He always was and always has been. He wasn't created and he didn't evolve, he just is. I don't think there really is an explanation for the existence of God, at least not one that we can comprehend. I don't think God can be compared to physical beings...he doesn't evolve or change in the physical sense...he's way beyond that. I think we just have to accept and have faith that that's the way things are. We are in his likeness as he has always been. That doesn't mean that we are gods or even close to what God is...it means that we are similar to him in thoughts and feelings, and perhaps in appearence. But we are humans, and as such not perfect and sinless as God is. We still have evil thoughts and desires. As for why we are here...according to the Bible because God wanted us to experiece life and His love...because God is a Creator and that is what he does. Hope that answers your question. If you have any more about what the Bible says or any others about God feel free to email me at aristopheonix@yahoo.com and I will do my best to answer them.

God is the "I Am" He is never changing. Man was created in His image. We have sinned and lost that unchanging perfection. Christ lived a sinless life for us to redeem us.
God Is eternal and exist out side of human time.
5 God called the light “day,” and the darkness he called “night.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day.
Time began at creation, only God WAS before the earth and time.

Wow, that's not even an explanation, much less the only one. Why did god make us? In his image. Doesn't follow, sorry. That's not a 'because'.

That is no explanation at all, just more christian mythology. You can not use the bible to prove the reliability of the bible. Personally I think you've got it turned around.....Man made god in his image, not the other way around.
