You use it in place of toothpaste. Before there was commercial toothpaste and inexpensive toothbrushes, people would put baking soda on their finger to brush their teeth.
But easier would be to purchase toothpaste that already has baking soda in it.

get a small dixie cup
and fill it with a tbsp
of baking soda
then wet your tooth brush
and put it into the baking soda
then brush normally
repeat
for as long as it takes to use up all the baking soda

YOU CAN EITHER USE BAKING SODA TOOTHPASTE OR TO MAKE IT ALSO EASY, WET A TOOTHBRUSH AND DIP IT INTO A BOX OF ARM&HAMMER AND START BRUSHING.
NOTHING CAN BE FASTER OR EASIER, NO MIXING AND NO MESS. HAVE FUN!

well, it does help whiten your teeth and it takes bad smells away. my mom says it even gets rid if a bad tummyache, so i guess it's okay.
just dip your toothbrush in it, and use it like toohpaste.
