Sponges are filter feeders: they trap plankton and organic food bits in the collar cells as water is pulled through their bodies.

Jellyfish are chunk feeders: they take in entire organisms through the mouth, digest the food in the central cavity, and eject the undigested material through the mouth.

Tapeworms feed by diffusion: food molecules diffuse in through their outer layer; they have no mouths; they live in the intestine where they are surrounded by food.
