For me the holistic view of it and messages like "justice for the poor" and all that are more important than whether frank really begat joe. The only people who need every word of the Bible to be true in order to follow the religion for what it means overall are fundamentalists, and they're hopeless anyway.

I practice it because of the truth it brings into my life, and how it's changed my life for the better. The only time I stumble and miss out is when I DON'T follow it, I miss out on so many blessings that way.
I guess I'd have to ask you, if so many things in the Bible are supposedly wrong, why do millions of people practice it effectively every day?

I wish you would tell me what has been "proven wrong" in the Bible. As an evangelist, I had a man at the door tell me that there were many things in the Bible that he disagreed with. I asked him if he would tell me one, and he said that he disagreed with "original sin". I said to him, "You don't believe you were born a child of Adam?"
The Bible says the wages of sin is death, and everyone dies. Babies die too. I have no problem with it.
So what's your big hang up keeping you from getting saved, hmm?

They arent necessarily proven wrong. Lots of people dont believe them and have faith in God and such. I am a Christian, and at times i find myself questioning my parents about the Bible. The people have more faith in the writers of the Bible because the writers were filled wiht the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is important and much more relying than us sinful human beings. Christians basically have more faith and rely on God rather than people on Earth, i guess.

The Bible is the faith history of people discovering how much God loves them. Ones faith grows as one matures. As people evolved in knowledge of their lives and world around them, so too did their understanding of the Bible. It was not written as a science or history book with facts which can or can not be proved. It is faith guide which helps one live their Christian religion. Remember. at one time science and history books believed the world was flat and that Pluto was a planet. We are still discovering things about our planet and universe. We are still discovering ways that God interacts with us.

i think of it extremely is because of the fact whilst they settle for that their holy e book has had one hollow effectively poked in it, they're compelled to confront the undeniable fact that it may desire to be incorrect in different procedures. Which maximum people who now no longer value the Bible found out a on a similar time as in the past. Jesus died for you: What do you wish all those verses from Romans are going to instruct? do no longer you already know they have been written by skill of defective human beings?
