Kansas City. Why else would several of our U.S. Presidents and the King of Rock and Roll, Elvis Presley, go to Kansas City for barbeque if it wasn't the best?

It's the sauce and cooking method that make bbq, not the meat. The whole purpose of bbq is to make amends for an inferior cut of meat.

Have eaten KC bbq, Texas bbq, Tennessee bbq, Carolina bbq, Kentucky bbq, Louisiana bbq, California bbq, NY bbq, Wyoming bbq, Colorado bbq, etc. Have traveled all over the US tasting bbq and chicken fried steak. Best bbq was in Louisiana and KC, a tie, and best cfs was in Texas. Hole-in-the-wall eateries have proved to be the better restaurants.

Oooh, that's a hard one.

If I want beef or ribs, it's Texas BBQ all the way!

But if I want a good pulled pork w/ a vinegar-based sauce, gimme Geogia/Caroline BBQ.

Then again, if a dry rub of baby backs fits the craving, I guess Kansas City/Tenn is required!

This is too hard! I can't answer definitively! They are all great! (except for the ketchup in the Caroline 'cue Cole Slaw! Gag me!)

Texas BBQ is my favorite. Their brisket is soo delicious, and I love all the spices.

When it comes to pork, then I'd have to go towards KC or the Carolinas

Texas does it for me. They tend to blend seasonings together better in my opinion. Tex-Mex or traditional southern. Won't be the same as eating in Savanah, GA, but I still prefer Texas.

It all depends on preference. Every region thinks theirs' is the best. I think they're all good but i prefer a slightly sweet sauce so i like Everett & Jones in Oakland, CA
