My favorite type of dog is our Red Siberian Husky and yes, he is very loyal and loving too. I rescued him 10 years ago and the vet thought he was about 9 months old and weighed under 20 lbs. when I rescued him from wondering the woods. After I brought him home he adopted my husband and now they are the best of buddies.
After we had him (my husband named him Lucky Boy) for less then one month he had gained over 30 lbs. and the vet was so pleased that he survived after eating tree bark to survive out in the woods.
Yes, the Siberian Husky is my all time favorite, most loyal and loving breed of dog that we have ever had the pleasure of adopting us.
A true husky doesn't bark either but they do "talk" and it's so interesting to watch the facial expressions they make when they "talk" to you.
My vote is for the Siberian Husky breed.

Any dog with a great attitude! I used to have GSDs, and considered myself a 'big dog' person - I now have Lancashire Heelers (only 10-12" at shoulder) and have had to admit that character and attitude is not related to size - these little guys are just the business.

I love my dogs so much. I have had Boxers all my life, my father had them as a kid and so did my grandfather. They will alwasy be my first choice!! I recently got a pug and a chihuahua and oh my they are great.
Here is the age and names of my dogs:
Boxer -- Paris 10 years
Boxer -- Diva 2 years
Pug -- Paprika 3 years
Chihuahua - Tamale 6 months
I dont think there are any other breeds that would top these ones, they all get along and make me happy everytime i look at them.

I dearly love my mutts. I have owned 5. Chow/Border Collie mix (we think), Husky mix, Lab/Pointer mix, Blue Heeler mix, Jack Russell/Beagle mix. I've loved them all. They all had wonderful temperaments and were very loyal companions. I don't think loyalty is breed specific. It's what dogs are all about.
In the future though (when we move out to the country) I do plan on rescuing a Border Collie. I absolutely love everything about that breed from temperament to looks, to their energy level.

I have a bloodhound and just luv him to pieces. He is very loyal and very protective of the whole family. He loves to play with all other dogs and is an angel with my one year old who tends to use him like a piece of playground equipment.

I have five Chihuahuas. They are very loyal, loving, protective, great little watch dogs, easy to care for, very low maintenance, funny, adorable, love to cuddle, fun to dress up, not only because they get cold so easily, but they look so cute in them, and mine come running when they see me holding a sweater, and you can take them with you almost anywhere you go.
