What's a good heat-protection straightening cream that makes the hair straight, but not flat. I want it to protect my hair from the heat without weighing it down or plastering it to my head. Sunsilk and VO5 seem to rob the hair of volume :/

The Matrix Smoothing system. Orange bottles...LOVE IT. I also like the Paul Mitchell serum for when I'm in a hurry. It speeds up the drying time w/o leaving much frizz!!!!!

Cheap stuff???? I don't mind the Frizz-ease products either. The key to not leaving hair flat, is not applying the product to your root, and using a round brush to dry. If you still need to use heat, I recommend using a large curling iron to run over the hair instead of a straighten iron. Hope this helps!

use loreal. They're really good to help your hair feel lighter. It may smell a bit funky, but it does help! If not, when you purchase a hair straightener or something, there should be some types of oils or liquids which you can put in your hair before you use the straightener. They can get a bit messy, but trust me, they're worth buying and they don't even cost that much. Make sure you get a real pro. when you ask for their opinion when you buy it.

The absolute best is a product called Straighten Out from FX Special Effects. You can get it at any Walgreens, Wal-Mart, CVS, etc. You'll love it!

I like Straight Shot by Beyond the Zone. You can get it at Sally Beauty Supply stores. It's in a maroon tube.
