when you need the car sooner, have you tried unhooking the battery for a minute and rehooking and trying, or maybe 30 min :)

The key fob alarm system on most ford vehicles is a theft deterrent only and does not have a starter disable system on them. Most likely you haeanother issue with your car and not the alarm system. If you want to check your alarm then check your fob batteries. If they are ok then you can retrain them yourself. Key in ignition, cycle key off to run 8 times in 10 seconds ending in the run position, the doors will lock then unlock themselves. after they do that then push lock or unlock on your fob. If the doors lock then unlock after you press the button, then you have just retrained your fobs and saved $$ by going to a dealership.

scooter 65 is correct.. Ford doesn't have a factory car alarm that won't stop it from starting.. you will need a mechanic to diagnose...

Either you are having a intermittant no start problem (such as a starter) which is highly likely.... or you may have a Ford aftermarket alarm which allows for it to kill the starter and it starting to go crappy

But bring to a mechanic for proper diagnosis

You have to take it to the dealer to be reset. If it were an aftermarket alarm you could do it yourself. But since it's factory.... go to the dealer (about $25-50)
