Allah ( Ilah ) is the name for God in Aramaic the language that Jesus spoke.
Jesus never prayed to God or even referred to God using any word but Allah.
People who say that Allah is a false God do not know what they are talking about, and they are most certainly not following the true teachings of Jesus.
Love and blessings.

The Pillars of Belief (Aqeedah) in Islam are:
1. Allah - He is Unique without any partners. All worship is for Him alone.
2. Angels - Creations of Allah. They obey His commands at all times.
3. Books - All original revelations; Old Testament, New Testament, Last Testament (Quran) are from Allah.
4. Messengers - (prophets) of Allah. All prophets were humans and they came with a message for their people, in the language of the peole, so they could understand, "There is only One God - Worship Him alone, without partners."
5. Day of Judgment - All humands, good and bad will be raised up for Judgment.
6. Predestination - Allah already Knows the outcome of everything. There is nothing that happens in the heavens and the earth, except Allah has full knowledge and controla over it.

Where Does the word "Allah" Come From?
"Allah" comes from the Arabic word "elah" - (Arabic) means 'a god' or something that is worshipped. This word (elah) can be made plural, as in "aleha" and it can be male or female. "Allah" comes from "elaha" but it brings more clarification and understanding.
Allah = Has no gender (not male and not female)
* "He" is used only out of respect and dignity - not for gender
Allah = Always singular - Never plural
* "We" is used only as the "Royal WE" just as in English for royalty
Allah =Means "The Only One to be Worshipped"
Is "Allah" only for Islam and Muslims?
"Allah" is the same word used by Christian and Jewish Arabs in the Bible, before Islam came.
On page one [1] of Genesis in the Old Testament, we find the word "Allah" seventeen [17] times.
"Allah" - FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
(First Read: "How To Answer Questions About Islam - New!")
The questions atheists usually ask regarding our belief in Allah or God, vary somewhat but, they are predictable. Let us consider a few:
1. "If Allah (God) created everything - then who created God?
2. "How can you believe in God, when you can't see, hear, touch, smell, taste or even imagine what He is?"
3. "Can God do anything?" Examples: Could God die? Or can God make a rock so big that nothing can move it? - If He did make a rock so big, nothing could move it, does that mean that He couldn't move it too? Or would it be impossible for Him to make something so big that He couldn't move it?"
4. "Where is God?"
5. "Why did God create everything?"
6. "Is God pure, good, loving and fair? - If so, then where does evil, hatred and injustice come from?"
7. "Does God really have power of things? - If so, then why does He let people become sick, oppressed and die?"
8. "Can you prove there is a God?"
9. "Does God know everything that is going to happen? - Does He have absolute control on the outcome of everything? - If so, how is that fair for us? Where is our free will then?"
10. "If there is only one God, then why are there so many religions?
11. "How do you know that the Quran is really from God?"
12. "Why does the Quran say "We" if Allah is only One?"
13. Why does the Quran use "He" if there is no gender implied?"

There are no exclusive Allah for the Muslims or God for the Christians. The One True God is the Creator and Sustainer of all worlds and all creatures.
Christ, Muhammad, Khrisna...are the Messengers of the One True God Who called His name in their languages as Allah, Jehovah, Brahma...God is not the word used by any Prophets, but it is only a translation into English.
The mature humanity today can learn about the Divine Unity and cease all childish disputes.

I think they are not the same guys. They have different names, different powers, different appearance, similar but different teaching and they even live in different houses - Allah in the koran and the christians' God in the bible. When christians and muslims praise their Gods, they do it differently - muslims kiss the ground whereas christians raise their hands and dance.
On the other hand, even if they are the same guy, the important is they both are GODs and people believe them to be. If you do not believe they are GODs, that is also OK because that is another option. May Allah and GOD bless you.

What matters is that we were created in the same way, by the same God. Muslims have a different set of beliefs but it does not change the fact that we were created by the same God. Muslims call God, Allah, which is "The God" in Arabic. its ridiculous to call Allah a false God because Allah is just what muslims call the creator who created us and the world.

I think that they are exactly the same. Just PEOPLE are different thats all. If you look at the basics of the 3 books (Quran,Torah, Bible) they basically have the same thing in them. I think that people only think that if they havent read the books. They all say that woman should cover their hair in modesty, dont eat pork and many other things. It is the followers who choose not to obey!
(I know there is going to be a comment on it so just read the bible its in there, why do you think orthodox nuns cover there hair, where do you think the bridal veil comes from, most of the depictions of mary show her hair a covered) Its just a fact, I dont see why people make such a big deal of it!

God is one without a second. The degrees to which one group of people understand God may differ according to time, place, circumstance, but God does not change. God has as many names as there are qualities, and Allah may mean the same thing as Yahwey, or it may mean Jehovah, or Lord, or Father, or whatever the word means in that language, but they all refer to the selfsame God.

Yahweh of the Holy Bible is totally different than Muslims "Allah" for Jesus is also Yahweh and so is the Holy Spirit - in the muslim faith Jesus is just a prophet under mohammed, and to the muslim there is no such person as the Holy Spirit revealed in the Holy Scriptures.

Jesus' name is actually from Germany. Your name in another language is most likely a little different. Many of our English words are taken from or are a part of words from around the world. I think yes, that is Their word for the same God. From my studying of different religions, ( I like to really research things to the fullest ) but it is to my understanding that Jesus was a mere prophet type who performed magic tricks and Mohammad is the one that will return. It is also my understanding that anyone not associated with their religion is an infidel. If I am wrong, please correct me, I want to know as I love studying religions.

we muslims believe in the Creator of Everything. Who was one single Being, who created the universe and heavens and everything in between. The Lord of noah, abraham, moses, jesus and muhammad, all are his messengers to mankind. He is All-Powerful and can do anything. We do not believe He is incapable of doing anything, but he does not have a son, b/c he is Greater than His creation, and why would he have a child with his creation, that must mean Mary must be some kind of God too.

No! Allah is not a living true God never has been, in fact he was fake. Look at what his followers do to please him. Look at all the innocent blood they have shed in the name of their fake God. And it's only the beginning. What is worse the cowardly Christians of today are not prepared to fight, this is not good. The Islam murders are among us right now in the USA and the government knows it too, yet the US government has done nothing to clean up the country. We the people are in big trouble.
