Use blue or purple. The colour pycology suggests that it a cool or cold castle.

If you want your castle to look like someone is living in it, colour it orange or green. Thoughs colours suggest dwelling.

Let you Castle be real art! Express your philophies and what you want to say! don't worry about it being realistic, realistic art is boring!

Usually Pale grey. You will have to use Paynes Grey lightened with Titanium White to get the correct Colour. However when I Paint Stonework I like to give the Impression of The Sun Shining a nice Honeyed Beige Brown Colour on it. I usually Mix Paynes grey, Yellow Ochre, and Titanium White, You will have to Experiment to get the right Consistency, It is easy enough no Problem. You can also make a Castle out of Red Brick.Good Luck with the Painting.
